Where to Get The Most Iconic Views of The Eiffel Tower!

1. Pont Alexandre III

Located right in the heart of Paris, Pont Alexandre is certainly one of the most enchanting spots to catch a glimpse of France’s most iconic landmark.

The stunning bridge with its ornaments and candelabra lamps spans across the Seine River and offers a picture-perfect vantage point to enjoy the best views of the Eiffel Tower in the distance.

Especially at sunset, when the tower’s lights start to shine, the view from Pont Alexandre III becomes a captivating sight that shows the romantic and charming side of the City of Lights.

2. Rue de l’Université

Rue de l’Université is by no doubt the most famous and beloved spot to catch a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.

This long, tree-lined street spans two arrondissements (6th and 7th) and has one end close to Champ de Mars, the surrounding park of the Eiffel Tower.

At this very exact dead-end, you find a super-cute, cobbled street with charming architecture and adorable buildings. Because the place is so close to the tower itself, it will appear very grand in your photos.

Make sure to come here early in the morning to enjoy a peaceful sight of the grand landmark. During the day, it gets very crowded with lots of people trying to get the perfect shot of the Eiffel Tower!

3. Top of The Arc de Triomphe

Among the places that offer amazing views of the Eiffel Tower is the Arc de Triomphe, more particularly, the top of it.

As one of the most iconic landmarks in the city, a visit alone is already an unforgettable experience.

However, something even better is the view from the platform atop the 50-meter-tall monument. To reach there, you need to climb 284 steps. A small sports unit which is definitely worth it tho!

Once on the panoramic terrace, you can enjoy the grandeur of the Eiffel Tower to its fullest as it’s standing tall amidst the rest of the city’s buildings and the winding Seine River.

Whether you choose to visit during the day when the city is bathed in sunlight or venture up at night when the city sparkles with lights, the view from the Arc de Triomphe is truly a sight to behold!

Access to the Arc de Triomphe is only free for under 26-year-old residents of the EU. Otherwise, you need to buy a ticket for €13. Definitely get one in advance, otherwise, you will most likely need to queue for a while.

The 210-meter-high building has an observation deck, which boasts unparalleled 360-degree views.

Floor-to-ceiling windows offer sweeping vistas of Paris, allowing you to see famous French landmarks like the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, and of course, the iconic Eiffel Tower.

5. Champ de Mars

Champ de Mars is the most perfect place to see the Eiffel Tower from a close distance. Situated right at the base of the tower, the big park offers an unparalleled and unobstructed view of the iconic landmark.

The park’s lush green lawns and well-maintained pathways provide a serene environment, inviting both locals and tourists to enjoy leisurely strolls or find a cozy spot for a relaxing picnic.

Especially during the evening, visiting Champ de Mars is a truly magical experience. It’s an ideal moment to find a comfortable spot on the grass or a bench, to watch the sun disappear behind the grand tower.

6. Place du Trocadéro

Finally, head to the Place du Trocadéro to check out the last of the most iconic and photogenic views of the Eiffel Tower.

Place du Trocadéro is a renowned square located on the right bank of the River Seine. Thanks to its elevated position across the river, it provides a magnificent panorama, making it a favorite spot for tourists and photographers alike.

The square’s beautifully landscaped gardens and wide terraces create a perfect setting to admire the full splendor of the Eiffel Tower while enjoying the enchanting charm of Paris as a whole.

For the most authentic and enjoyable experience, I recommend visiting Place du Trocadéro early in the morning. It tends to get very crowded during the day.
