Hey, it’s me!
My name is Alina and I’m a 27-year-old born in Austria. I grew up in the middle of nowhere, just surrounded by trees, mountains,
Since I was a little child, I loved all kinds of adventures, and luckily my parents tried to organize family trips as often as possible.
Back then, I already felt at home everywhere in the world, and it hasn’t changed much so far!
After finishing secondary school, I decided to attend a high school focused on e-tourism management. Five years later, with my High School Certificate in my hands, I moved to Frankfurt to do an internship as a Guest Service Agent at a hotel.
For six months, I was part of a great team working for a very well-known hotel chain. Yet, the work simply didn’t fulfill me, and after the internship ended, I realized hospitality wasn’t the right job field for me.
A bit downcast, confused, and without having any concrete plans, I moved back to Austria.
There I had enough time to focus on my interests and think about what I could do next.
In high school, I had a few subjects related to marketing in general and online marketing. I was interested in marketing, and I was kind of knowledgeable already, so I decided to start studying Marketing & Electronic Business.
My main intention was to expand my marketing skills so I could work in the field of Online Marketing or as a Social Media Manager.
When I came back from Frankfurt, I also started growing my Instagram account, and after the first semester at college, I finally launched this blog in January 2019. I’ve been working on it for a while, and it was a really big deal for me when it went online!
I planned to grow my travel blog and Social Media while studying, but things turned out differently than expected.

In June 2019, I started working part-time for an Austrian start-up in the field of Social Media Marketing and E-Commerce.
It was exactly what I always wanted to do, and it was a great way to gain some practical experience as well.
So now I had my new part-time job, my blog I wanted to grow, and my studies.
Long story short, all these things together were simply too much.
I couldn’t concentrate anymore, and even the simplest tasks were overwhelming for me – I knew I had to give up something.
After much contemplation, I decided to give up my studies for two simple reasons:
First, it was completely different than what I’d expected – the courses were focused on electronic business and other subjects rather than online marketing.
Second, I knew all the things we learned about marketing already because I taught them all myself!
Maybe you think my decision was crazy and that I’m stupid, maybe a lot of people wouldn’t have done that. Well, I did and I don’t regret it at all.
As soon as I made that decision, it took a great load off my mind and I knew I did the right thing.
I stopped studying in November 2019, and at the beginning of December, I registered my own small business.
My own small business. Something I’ve always dreamed of.
Then 2020 came, and with it, the pandemic. My plans didn’t quite work out, because, well, no one could travel. Like so many others, I had to adjust and rethink my path.
From 2021 to 2022, I worked at a bank, but it quickly became clear that it wasn’t the right fit for me. So, I quit and took a job at the advertising agency FALKEmedia, where I worked from 2023 to 2024. Finally, I was doing what I enjoyed – SEO and Social Media!
However, at the end of 2024, I took the leap and went fully self-employed. It wasn’t an easy decision because I loved working at the agency, but what I love even more is being independent and focusing entirely on being a travel blogger and content creator.
Now, since the beginning of 2025, I’m a full-time travel blogger and content creator (again).
Today, I create content for my clients’ Social Media channels and run my travel blog, which is growing from month to month.
Today, I work more hours a day than ever before, but you know what?
I love it. It’s something I enjoy, and that’s why it doesn’t feel like work.
