Alles lief reibungslos und ich erhielt eine Best\u00e4tigungsmail, <strong>dass wir um 9:00 Uhr von unserer Unterkunft abgeholt werden.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abholung von unserer Unterkunft<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">F\u00fcr unsere Zeit auf Zypern buchten wir eine <strong>wundersch\u00f6ne Airbnb-Wohnung in Larnaca,<\/strong> einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften St\u00e4dte der Insel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Unser Guide kam p\u00fcnktlich, und da meine Freundin und ich die einzigen Teilnehmer an diesem Tag waren, <strong>wurde die Tour zu einer privaten f\u00fcr uns!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Wir h\u00fcpften auf die R\u00fccksitze des Jeeps, bereit f\u00fcr einen Tag voller Abenteuer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Auf dem Weg zum Troodos-Gebirge, <strong>erz\u00e4hlte uns unser Guide viel \u00fcber die Geschichte der Insel.<\/strong> Au\u00dferdem wusste er alles \u00fcber all die verschiedenen Pflanzen, B\u00e4ume und Blumen auf Zypern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Es war toll, ihm zuzuh\u00f6ren, w\u00e4hrend wir an <strong>kleinen D\u00f6rfern und atemberaubenden Landschaften<\/strong> vorbeifuhren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eine Kupfermine am Weg<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Nach einer Weile bog unser Guide pl\u00f6tzlich auf eine unbefestigte, felsige Stra\u00dfe ab. Kurz darauf <strong>hielten wir an einer Kupfermine<\/strong> \u2013 der erste Ort, den er uns zeigen wollte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Der rot gef\u00e4rbte Boden und die tiefblaue Farbe des Wassers wirkten fast surreal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Unser Guide erz\u00e4hlte uns, dass der <strong>Kupferabbau auf der Insel bereits 4.000 v. Chr. begann,<\/strong> aber erst w\u00e4hrend der britischen Kolonialzeit seinen H\u00f6hepunkt erreichte.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"680\" data-pin-url=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/de\/the-troodos-mountains-tour-in-cyprus-an-epic-adventure\/?tp_image_id=39161\" src=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1309-2-850x680.jpg\" alt=\"Troodos-Gebirge Tour\" class=\"wp-image-39161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1309-2-850x680.jpg 850w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1309-2-500x400.jpg 500w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1309-2-768x614.jpg 768w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1309-2-1536x1229.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1309-2-15x12.jpg 15w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1309-2.jpg 1804w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Neben Kupfer wurde hier auch Gold, Eisen, Chromit, Zement und sogar Erd\u00f6l abgebaut. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Bis vor ein paar Jahren war der Bergbau ein bedeutender Wirtschaftszweig, doch heute spielt er keine Rolle mehr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tee und Kaffee mit Einheimischen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Der zweite Halt auf unserer Reiseroute war ein Stopp in einem <strong>kleinen Dorf namens Lythrodontas<\/strong> \u2013 ich habe die Rechtschreibung doppelt gepr\u00fcft, aber nimm es mir nicht \u00fcbel, falls sie doch falsch ist! \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Da die Tour ein echtes und authentisches Erlebnis versprach, machten wir uns auf den Weg in ein sehr kleines, lokales Caf\u00e9. In dem Moment, als wir eintraten, <strong>wurden wir von 10 bis 15 Augenpaaren angestarrt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Es war nur ein gro\u00dfer Raum mit einigen sehr alten Tischen und St\u00fchlen. Einheimische M\u00e4nner \u00e4lteren Jahrgangs spielten Kartenspiele, sahen fern und w\u00e4rmten sich am Feuer auf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Wir bestellten Tee und Kaffee und setzten uns an einen freien Tisch. Es dauerte nicht lange, bis einige Leute zu uns kamen und <strong>fragten, woher wir kamen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Sie waren sehr freundlich und freuten sich, uns zu sehen, da sich kaum Touristen in den Ort verirren. Es war wirklich ein tolles Erlebnis, mit ihnen Tee zu trinken und zu plaudern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Nachdem wir unseren Tee ausgetrunken hatten, zeigte uns unser Guide noch einen Raum gleich nebenan. Es war ein <strong>Sitzungssaal des lokalen Fu\u00dfballclubs, geschm\u00fcckt mit einer Vielzahl von Fotos und Gem\u00e4lden.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In Glasvitrinen waren Preise aller Art ausgestellt \u2013 von kleinen Medaillen bis hin zu gro\u00dfen Troph\u00e4en. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Der Raum war jedoch mehr als nur ein alter Vereinssitzungsraum. An den W\u00e4nden hingen Fotos von M\u00e4nnern, die <strong>im Zweiten Weltkrieg und bei der t\u00fcrkischen Invasion auf Zypern im Jahr 1974 gefallen sind.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Unser Guide erkl\u00e4rte uns, dass die t\u00fcrkische Invasion von 1974 viel tragischer und schlimmer f\u00fcr die Menschen auf Zypern war. Wir verabschiedeten uns von den freundlichen Einheimischen und gingen zur\u00fcck zu unserem Jeep. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die Kirche des Heiligen Onoufrios<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Je n\u00e4her wir den Bergen kamen, <strong>desto steiler und holpriger wurde unsere Fahrt.<\/strong> An einem bestimmten Punkt begannen wir schlie\u00dflich, die Gegend abseits der Stra\u00dfe zu erkunden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Das war der Moment, in dem das eigentliche Abenteuer endlich begann! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Wir fuhren durch dichten Wald und die steilsten und steinigsten H\u00e4nge auf und ab \u2013 <strong>es f\u00fchlte sich an wie auf einer Achterbahn.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Es war echt ein cooles Erlebnis, auf dem R\u00fccksitz des Jeeps zu sitzen und die faszinierende und \u00fcppige Natur um uns herum zu erleben. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"680\" data-pin-url=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/de\/the-troodos-mountains-tour-in-cyprus-an-epic-adventure\/?tp_image_id=39164\" src=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1318-1-850x680.jpg\" alt=\"Troodos-Gebirge Tour\" class=\"wp-image-39164\" srcset=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1318-1-850x680.jpg 850w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1318-1-500x400.jpg 500w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1318-1-768x614.jpg 768w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1318-1-1536x1229.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1318-1-15x12.jpg 15w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1318-1.jpg 1834w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"680\" data-pin-url=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/de\/the-troodos-mountains-tour-in-cyprus-an-epic-adventure\/?tp_image_id=39165\" src=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1319-2-850x680.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1319-2-850x680.jpg 850w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1319-2-500x400.jpg 500w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1319-2-768x614.jpg 768w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1319-2-1536x1229.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1319-2-15x12.jpg 15w, https:\/\/worldoflina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/DSC_1319-2.jpg 1875w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Auf genau solchen Stra\u00dfen wie auf dem Foto oben sind wir gefahren. <strong>Ein echter Nervenkitzel!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Unser erster offizieller Halt im Troodos-Gebirge war die <strong>kleine Kirche des Heiligen Onoufrios.<\/strong> Sie war ein eher unscheinbares Geb\u00e4ude, mitten im Nirgendwo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Im Inneren gab es nicht mehr als ein paar Sitzgelegenheiten, aber <strong>das Faszinierendste an der Kirche war das Deckengem\u00e4lde<\/strong> \u2013 ein gro\u00dfes Bild von Jesus, der auf uns herabschaute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Neben dem Deckengem\u00e4lde gab es noch viele andere wertvolle alte Gem\u00e4lde in der kleinen Kirche. Unser Guide erz\u00e4hlte uns au\u00dferdem etwas \u00fcber die <strong>Geschichte der Kirche und ihres Namensgebers Onoufrios.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Onoufrios wurde im 3. Wir stiegen kurz aus und spazierten ans Ufer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Im Sommer hat man w\u00e4hrend der Tour die M\u00f6glichkeit, im See zu schwimmen. Da wir jedoch im Januar in Zypern waren, war es viel zu kalt daf\u00fcr. Aber ich kann mir richtig gut vorstellen, wie cool es sein muss, <strong>ins kristallklare Wasser zu springen und ein paar Runden zu drehen!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fikardou<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Es war schon Mittag, als wir bei unserem n\u00e4chsten Halt, dem <strong>verlassenen Bergdorf Fikardou,<\/strong> ankamen. Wir entschieden uns, erst einmal etwas zu essen, bevor wir den Ort n\u00e4her erkundeten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mittagessen im Yiannakos<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Im ganzen Dorf gibt es nur ein <strong>kleines familiengef\u00fchrtes Restaurant mit typisch zypriotischer K\u00fcche.<\/strong> Zum Gl\u00fcck ist es jeden Tag ge\u00f6ffnet, also gingen wir in das gem\u00fctliche Lokal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Wir wurden von den Besitzern herzlich empfangen und setzten uns an einen Tisch direkt neben dem Kamin. Jahrhundert erbaut und ist bekannt als eines der malerischsten D\u00f6rfer der Insel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Kein Wunder, denn mit den traditionellen Backsteinh\u00e4usern und roten Ziegeld\u00e4chern sieht es wirklich wie aus einem Gem\u00e4lde aus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Fikardou war einst eine lebendige mittelalterliche Siedlung, heute <strong>leben dort nur noch drei Menschen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Unser Guide erkl\u00e4rte uns, dass sie so weit weg von der Zivilisation einfach nicht mehr \u00fcberleben konnten. Deshalb verlie\u00dfen die Menschen Fikardou und zogen in St\u00e4dte in der N\u00e4he. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Wir schlenderten durch die engen Gassen von Fikardou, gingen in verlassene H\u00e4user und pfl\u00fcckten Kr\u00e4uter wie Salbei. Ich fragte unseren Guide danach und der erkl\u00e4rte uns daraufhin, dass es sich um <strong>getrocknete K\u00fcrbisse handelte.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Die Leute damals benutzten sie nicht nur als T\u00f6pfe, sondern auch als Flaschen. Tief im Troodos-Gebirge, auf einer H\u00f6he von 900 Metern, befindet sich das Machairas-Kloster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Dieses Kloster ist der Jungfrau Maria gewidmet und wurde im 12. Jahrhundert gegr\u00fcndet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Von Fikardou aus war es keine lange Fahrt, bis wir dort ankamen. Der Eingang zum Klostergeb\u00e4ude befand sich hinter einem anderen Tor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Es ist wirklich schade, dass ich euch nicht zeigen kann wie es innen aussah, denn es war unglaublich beeindruckend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\"><strong>Riesige Kristallkronleuchter<\/strong> hingen von der Decke, und der Raum war mit religi\u00f6sen Ikonen und Wandfresken geschm\u00fcckt. Neben meiner Freundin und mir war nur ein M\u00f6nch da, der sich um alles k\u00fcmmerte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Es war vollkommen still im Kloster, und ich konnte nicht aufh\u00f6ren, \u00fcber die wundersch\u00f6nen Dekorationen zu staunen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Bevor wir das Gel\u00e4nde verlie\u00dfen, <strong>besuchten wir den kleinen Klosterladen<\/strong> den es dort gab. Dort kauften wir noch getrocknete Holunderbl\u00fcten, um aus unseren gesammelten Kr\u00e4utern Tee zu machen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Am Berggipfel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Das Kloster war die letzte Station, bevor wir einen der h\u00f6chsten Gipfel des Troodos-Gebirges erreichten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Unser Guide parkte den Jeep auf 1.200 Metern H\u00f6he, und wir sprangen raus \u2013 nur um sofort vom Wind weggeweht zu werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Der Wind dort oben war wirklich unglaublich eisig und stark! Da wir beide nicht passend angezogen waren, zog er f\u00f6rmlich durch unsere K\u00f6rper hindurch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Wir standen am Rande des Berges und genossen die Aussicht f\u00fcr einige Minuten. Wir besuchten Lefkara, angeblich <strong>eines der sch\u00f6nsten D\u00f6rfer Europas,<\/strong> laut unserem Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Er hatte sich nicht geirrt, denn Lefkara ist wirklich ein wahres Juwel. Das Dorf ist vor allem <strong>f\u00fcr seine Lefkara-Spitzen, die als <em>Lefkaritika<\/em> bekannt sind, und f\u00fcr sein Kunsthandwerk aus Silber ber\u00fchmt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size translation-block\">Laut einem alten Sprichwort besuchte <strong>Leonardo da Vinci Zypern im 15.
