Als eine meiner absoluten Lieblingsregionen in Nieder\u00f6sterreich<\/strong> habe ich l\u00e4ngst aufgeh\u00f6rt zu z\u00e4hlen, wie oft ich schon in der Wachau war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vor ein paar Tagen haben mein Freund und ich wieder einen Tagesausflug in die Wachau gemacht, in der Hoffnung, die Marillenbl\u00fcte zu sehen<\/strong> \u2013 leider waren wir daf\u00fcr ein bisschen zu sp\u00e4t dran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Notiz an mich selbst: Das n\u00e4chste Mal fr\u00fcher hinfahren! \ud83d\ude09)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Normalerweise bleiben wir meist auf der linken Seite<\/strong> der Donau und besuchen Orte wie Wei\u00dfenkirchen, Spitz und D\u00fcrnstein \u2013 eine der sch\u00f6nsten Kleinst\u00e4dte \u00d6sterreichs<\/a> \u2013 aber dieses Mal haben wir uns entschieden, die rechte Seite zu erkunden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir wollten jedoch nicht nur ein paar Orte besuchen, sondern da es nicht regnete und die Temperatur fr\u00fchlingshaft war (nur ein wenig zu bew\u00f6lkt), wollten wir eine Wanderung in der Umgebung machen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auf der Suche nach sch\u00f6nen Wanderwegen bin ich auf den Panoramaweg Rossatz<\/strong> gesto\u00dfen \u2013 einen Weg, von dem ich schon geh\u00f6rt hatte, den ich aber noch nie selbst gegangen bin. Er versprach tolle Ausblicke auf die Donau, D\u00fcrnstein und Wei\u00dfenkirchen<\/strong> und f\u00fchrte durch Weinberge und Obstg\u00e4rten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das hat schon gereicht, um mich zu \u00fcberzeugen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Der Start des Panoramawegs Rossatz<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Das Gute ist, dass du den Panoramaweg Rossatz an verschiedenen Punkten starten kannst<\/strong>, je nachdem, was dir am besten passt. Wir hatten urspr\u00fcnglich geplant, in Rossatz zu starten<\/strong>, aber der Parkplatz Mettenerplatz<\/a>, den wir zuvor rausgesucht hatten, war bei unserer Ankunft um 10:00 Uhr schon voll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also sind wir weiter nach Rossatzbach gefahren<\/strong> und haben einen freien Platz auf dem kleinen Parkplatz auf der linken Seite der Stra\u00dfe<\/strong> gefunden, in der N\u00e4he der Schiffsstation, die Rossatzbach mit D\u00fcrnstein verbindet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alternativ kannst du auch in einem der benachbarten D\u00f6rfer wie Oberarnsdorf starten<\/strong> \u2013 die Wanderung dauert dann jedoch l\u00e4nger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wenn du wie wir in Rossatzbach startest, folge einfach der Stra\u00dfe in Richtung Rossatz, bis du zum Weingut & Heurigen Rehrl-Fischer<\/strong> kommst. Von dort siehst du schon die Schilder f\u00fcr den Panoramaweg.<\/p>\n\n\n

Direkt gegen\u00fcber dem Weingut gibt es \u00fcbrigens eine Bushaltestelle<\/strong>, falls du mit den \u00f6ffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ankommst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sehenswertes am Panoramaweg Rossatz<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Entlang des Panoramawegs gibt es viel zu entdecken \u2013 neben den tollen Ausblicken auf das linke Donauufer nat\u00fcrlich!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solche Ausblicke findest du entlang des gesamten Panoramawegs \u2013 aber es gibt noch viel mehr zu sehen!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Smaragdplatzl<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Auf einem der gelben Schilder beim Weingut Rehrl-Fischer steht \u201eSmaragdeidechse \u00fcber Panoramaweg\u201c. Das ist bereits eines der ersten Highlights<\/strong>, die du auf dem Weg entdeckst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nach einer 30-min\u00fctigen Wanderung durch Weinberge und sanfte H\u00fcgel<\/strong>, erreichst du das sogenannte \u201eSmaragdplatzl\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n

Das Smaragdplatzl ist ein Aussichtspunkt, umgeben von Weinbergen<\/strong>, von dem du einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Donau, D\u00fcrnstein und das Tal hast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du findest dort eine Bank, auf der du eine Pause machen und die Aussicht genie\u00dfen<\/strong> kannst und ein Info-Board, wo du mehr \u00fcber die Smaragdeidechse erf\u00e4hrst. Sie ist nicht nur selten, sondern zu einem echten Symbol der Wachau<\/strong> geworden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es gibt sogar eine Statue der Eidechse,<\/strong> die am Rand des Aussichtspunkts thront und \u00fcber das Tal darunter zu wachen scheint.<\/p>\n\n\n

Fun Fact: \u201eSmaragd\u201c ist auch der Name f\u00fcr die h\u00f6chste Qualit\u00e4tsstufe von Weinen der Vinea-Wachau-Winzer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marillenmeile<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nachdem du das Smaragdplatzl hinter dir gelassen hast und den Schildern folgst, kommst du zur Marillenmeile, ein besonderer Abschnitt der Wachau, der f\u00fcr seine vielen Marillenb\u00e4ume bekannt<\/strong> ist und ebenfalls zum Panoramaweg geh\u00f6rt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entlang der Marillenmeile gibt es zahlreiche Schilder mit Infos \u00fcber die Geschichte, den Anbau und die Bedeutung der Marillen<\/strong> in der Region.<\/p>\n\n\n

Ab dem Schild oben auf dem Bild gehst du noch rund 10 Minuten weiter,<\/strong> bis du zu einer Kreuzung mit mehreren Wegweisern kommst. Auf dem Weg dorthin hast du immer wieder einen richtig sch\u00f6nen Blick auf Wei\u00dfenkirchen<\/strong> auf der anderen Donauseite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bieg rechts ab und folg den Schildern \u201ePanoramaweg\/R\u00fchrsdorf\u201c und \u201eMarillenmeile\u201c<\/strong> in Richtung Hauptstra\u00dfe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auf dem Weg zur Hauptstra\u00dfe kommst du an ein paar Weing\u00e4rten der Dom\u00e4ne Wachau<\/a> vorbei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An der Hauptstra\u00dfe biegst du rechts ab und gehst ein St\u00fcck die Stra\u00dfe entlang, bis du zur n\u00e4chsten Kreuzung kommst. Dort biegst du links ab und folgst den kleinen Nebenstra\u00dfen. Ab hier findest du nur noch Schilder mit der Aufschrift \u201eMarillenmeile\u201c<\/strong> \u2013 denen folgst du einfach weiter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obstg\u00e4rten, Weinberge & Weing\u00fcter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Der restliche Weg f\u00fchrt dich durch R\u00fchrsdorf<\/strong> \u2013 vorbei an Obstg\u00e4rten, Weinbergen und Weing\u00fctern \u2013 zur\u00fcck nach Rossatz oder Rossatzbach<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je nach Saison findest du entlang des Weges lokale Produkte wie Marillenmarmelade, Lik\u00f6re,<\/strong> Desserts und Weine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mach unbedingt einen Stopp bei einem der Heurigen unterwegs<\/strong> und probier ein Glas der ber\u00fchmten Wachauer Weine!<\/p>\n\n\n

Abschlie\u00dfende Worte<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Je nachdem, wo du startest und ob du dieser Route folgst, dauert die Wanderung ungef\u00e4hr 2 bis 3 Stunden<\/strong> und ist etwa 9 km lang.<\/strong> Der Weg ist gut gepflegt und leicht begehbar, nur ab und zu geht es ein St\u00fcck bergauf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie bereits erw\u00e4hnt kannst du den Panoramaweg an verschiedenen Punkten starten,<\/strong> zum Beispiel in Rossatz oder R\u00fchrsdorf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Weg ist flexibel \u2013 du kannst die Wanderung verk\u00fcrzen oder verl\u00e4ngern,<\/strong> indem du andere Ausgangspunkte w\u00e4hlst oder ihn einfach in die entgegengesetzte Richtung gehst!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Egal wie du dich entscheidest, es ist auf jeden Fall ein tolles Erlebnis mit wundersch\u00f6nen Ausblicken<\/strong> auf die Region der Wachau \u2013 sei es als Tagesausflug von Wien<\/a> oder w\u00e4hrend du in der Region \u00fcbernachtest<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
